Where are my posts?!?

I posted some stuff, but they’re not showing up!

Ah, there they are…I had managed to change the default from Publish to Draft, so they were saved away, just never showed up on the site. Probably when I was monkeying around with the phone blogging stuff.

Happy Birthday, Joanne!

Saturday, July 17th, 2004

It’s Joanne’s 46th birthday today. For the next month or so, she’ll be a year older than me.

Happy Birthday Sweetie!

Congratulations, Gabe!

Congratulations, Damon

Wednesday, May 26th, 2004

We’re on a theme, here!

Congratulations to Damon who was selected to the Worcester Inter-High All Stars for soccer. He also got his Burncoat letter and three pins for his soccer season and two track seasons this year. And the Unsung Hero award for track!

He also managed to make it to three proms this month, without even bothering to go to school!

Oh, and he just got his driver’s license, so GET OUT OF THE WAY!!!!

Good jaerb, Damon!

Congratulations, Ron

Burncoat senior Ron Brace, (I know him as a track guy, he won the Mass. shot put championships with a 56 foot throw), but he’s also a star football player – at least Boston College thinks so, they’re giving him a full scholarship! They’re not the only ones, apparently he’s had three other scholarship offers as well.

Congratulations, Ron!

Congratulations, Mike!

Congratulations to Mike Videira, who was selected to the Parade All-America Boys Soccer Team!

Mike and Ben have played together on the FC Greater Boston Eagles (now Bolts), and the Boston Bulldogs Super-Y League team, and Mike is a phenomenal player, and a great guy, too.

Congratulations to Mike and the whole Videira clan!

Someone running, Max!

What I Did On Spring Break

Monday, April 5th, 2004

What do college students do on their spring break? Why, go home, grab the video camera, and make lots of fake TV commercials with their brothers.

Here’s one of Ben’s. More to follow.

Gabe did a standup routine at the swim team talent show this year. Click the picture for a bigger version, proving that he actually was standing!

Footloose, Vol. 2

Wednesday, March 17th, 2004

Last year: Footloose.

This year, it was at the Northeastern tournament last Sunday, so he won’t even be going to Jefferson Cup next weekend.

Oh, well.

It’s March! Time for Damon’s annual broken ankle!

Gosh, long time no blog!

Friday, January 16th, 2004

Well, I’ve been busy. After a *wonderful* Christmas, I had a swell trip to Tampa (actually Bradenton) for Damon’s soccer tournament. Not a bad showing, two for four, against some really good nationally-ranked teams. Then, back home for a great New Year, surrounded by family and friends, and then, alas, back to work.

John Paul’s back at school, Ben’s going next week, and Damon’s taking some classes at Quinsig, and running track. League champ in the 300 as we speak! Gabe’s swimming, and is on the board at Earn-A-Bike. Cool stuff! I’ll try to post some of their videos next week.

Damon’s & Gabe’s jack-o-lanterns:

Gabe Breaks A Minute – Proof!

Tuesday, September 30th, 2003

Here’s a video of Gabe when he broke the minute in the 100-meter Free at Holy Cross on Sep. 21. He’s in the top lane.

It’s big (15 megs) so I wouldn’t try without a fast connection. I’m still learning…

Okay, here’s a better one – 3.6 megs.

Gabe broke a minute!

Tuesday, September 23rd, 2003

In Sunday’s meet at Holy Cross, Gabe broke a minute for the first time in the 100 Free with a time of 59.47! Woo-hoo!

He placed fourth in the 100, third in the 200, and fifth in the 50. Not bad for his first meet swimming in the 13-14 age group.

Soccer news

Monday, September 15th, 2003

Burncoat lost Saturday, 4-1, with Damon scoring the only Burncoat goal.

UMass reserves lost Sunday, 4-1, with Ben scoring the only UMass goal.

Hmm, I think I see a pattern…

Happy Birthday John Paul!

Sunday, September 7th, 2003

It’s John Paul’s 20th birthday today. So, we now have one child successfully out of teenager-hood.

Happy Birthday!
